There are many ways that YOU can participate in PD research!
1. Register for Fox Trial Finder
Fox Trial Finder is a user friendly matching tool that connects volunteers with the Parkinson’s clinical trials that need them! Create a profile on the Fox Trial Finder website and receive notifications when there is a study in your area that is looking for participants like you. For more information, visit: https://foxtrialfinder.michaeljfox.org/
2. Sign-up for Fox Insight
Fox Insight is an online research study looking to gather the world’s largest collection of data about life with Parkinson’s. This online clinical study collects data from participants every 90 days on their experience with Parkinson’s disease. So far, over 4,000 people have signed up! Both those with and without Parkinson’s can contribute to this study. Learn more at: https://foxinsight.michaeljfox.org/
3. Take part in Fox Insight Wearables
As a sub-study of Fox Insight, Fox Insight Wearables is asking people with Parkinson's to use wearable technology to collect large quantities of data about their activity level and symptoms over a long period of time. Participants receive a free Pebble smartwatch in the mail and use an application on their smartphone to collect data about their day-to-day activities. The watch transfers data on their movements to the smartphone app, which then sends the information to the Fox Insight database. This data will be made available to study participants for real-time feedback about their disease, and to the research community to uncover new patterns about Parkinson's disease symptoms and progression. Findings from these analyses can help inform future PD research and drug development efforts. Learn how to participate at: https://www.michaeljfox.org/fox-insight-form.html
